Public lecture
Steve Jones is among the pioneers of Internet research. He was editor of “Doing Internet Research” (1999) and co-founded Association of Internet Researchers of which he was president from 2000 to 2003. Since then he has written and edited several volumes on Internet research and empirical studies of for instance gaming, music and education online. He is member of the editorial board of leading journal “New Media and Society” and has taught and lectured worldwide.
In this speech he will reflect on the past, present and future of Internet research from a social science angle and discuss for instance future methodological challenges of Internet research.
