CFI hosts a reception to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the centre.
At the reception, Professor Niels Ole Finnemann, our former director, gives a brief talk situating CFI and its past and present projects in the field of internet research. In addition, the internet artist Morten Riis will perform his work ”Digital Silence” which is created specifically for the celebration of the CFI Anniversary.

He succeeds professor Niels Ole Finnemann who has been centre director since the establishing of the centre in 2000. Anja Bechmann is elected new board member, succeding Niels Ole Finnemann. CFI co-organises the international workshop "Who Am I Online" with Luciano Floridi, University of Oxford and University of Hertfordshire with presentations by a broad range of international and CFI scholars in the fields of philosophy, ethics and internet studies.
The book Web History is published by the American publisher Peter Lang Publishing. The book is edited by Niels Brügger, and it is is the first edited volume to put the emerging field of web history on the agenda of internet research. [ Read more ]
