CFI hosts the conference "Web_site Histories: Theories, Methods, Analysis". The first international conference about web history, it is organised by Niels Brügger and Vidar Falkenberg.

After agreement among the participants at the conference "Web_site Histories: Theories, Methods, Analysis", CFI launches the mailing list webhistory, http://mail.imv.au.dk/mailman/listinfo/webhistory. The list is moderated by Niels Brügger.

Three researchers from CFI initiate the research project ‘Changing Borderlines in the Public Sphere. Mediatization & Citizenship’ which is supported by the Danish Research Council for the Humanities from 2008 to 2011. The project is headed by Niels Ole Finnemann and the other participants from CFI are Jakob Linaa Jensen and Per Jauert.
