Niels Ole Finnemann becomes a member of a steering committee for a research project investigating the use of private data on the internet.

CFI starts to organise informal study group meetings with focus on important texts within internet research.

Charles Ess, who does research in philosophy, religion and communication, is visiting full professor in fall semester 2007.

Niels Brügger starts the research project "The history of dr.dk, 1996-2006", which is supported by the Danish Research Council for the Humanities between 2007 and 2010. The overall aim of this project is to write the history of the first ten years of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation's (DR) website.

The last issue of the Newsletter is published (no. 13) after a decision to terminate the publication of the Newsletter. From now on communication with people outside the centre only takes place on the website and via the mailing list Forum for Internetforskning (established in September 2005).

Niels Brügger is appointed member of the working group for the establishment of a municipal archivist function in the Municipality of Århus. Niels Brügger contributes knowledge about internet archiving to the group.

February 2007

Niels Brügger takes the initiative to launch the research project "Method study of the integration of internet material directly received from producers". The aim of the project is to analyze the archiving and research problems and possibilities in connection with the collection of internet material from the producer and the integration of these in www.netarkivet.dk (the national internet archive, which is run by the Royal Library and the State and University library). The project is carried out in spring 2007 in collaboration with the State and University Library/www.netarchive.dk and is supported by the research foundation of the Ministry of Culture.
