Getting to Aarhus

Airports
Aarhus Airport "Tirstrup" is approx. 40 kms north of the town. The airport has regular flights to Copenhagen, Gothenborg, Oslo, London and Stockholm. There are several daily flights to Copenhagen and the flight takes approximately 25 minutes. Billund Airport is located 100 kilometers south of Aarhus and has direct international flight connections to many European cities. The bus ride from Billund to Aarhus takes approximately 1½ hours. See bus timetable.

Railways
Aarhus lies at one of the most important railway junctions in Denmark. There are hourly trains both north, south and west. Most long distance trains are run by DSB, the national Danish railway company

Motorways
Aarhus has direct connections to the great European network of motorways, making it easy to get to most European cities. Hamburg can be reached within roughly four hours. There are also excellent roads to most places in Denmark.
