Book reception: Sociale medier i gymnasiet - mellem forbud og ligegyldighed
On Tuesday 10 December CFI will host a reception for the new book "Sociale medier i gymnasiet - mellem forbud og ligegyldighed" (Social media in upper secondary school - between prohibition and indifference) by Jesper Tække and Michael Paulsen.
The book reports on the first year of the Social Media Education experiment that deals with the specific challenge of establishing a good IT culture in a class in upper secondary school. Based on the results, the book examines both how to create a good IT culture in a class, and how to improve participation, awareness and commitment through the use of social media in education. In addition, it treats the issue of how teachers can interfere positively without prohibition or indifference in relation to students' media use. On the basis of current international research and theory, the book discusses the difficulties and opportunities offered by new media.
The reception will take place on Tuesday 10 December at 3 pm in room 229 ("the lunch room") in the Nygaard-building, Aarhus Universitet.
